Camacho’s father talks up move away from Liverpool

Liverpool’s Rafael Camacho has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield and the latest comments from his father suggest a move is imminent.

Camacho only made two appearances for Liverpool’s first team under Jurgen Klopp last season and has refused to sign a new deal.

The youngster has been linked with multiple teams, including Schalke and Sporting.

As reported by the Mirror, Camacho’s told Portuguese outlet Record that the 19-year-old should consider a move back to his home country to join Sporting.

Sporting is a good possibility. Rafael played there for eight years. Going back to a club that you know well would be a bit like coming home.

He also spoke about why a move back to Portugal with Sporting would be the best option for him, despite interest from other clubs around Europe.

He knows the clubs; people know him, and this could be an advantage.

Camacho will want to be involved in a team where he is played regularly and in his favoured position, a factor that has been at the heart of his desire to leave Anfield this summer.
