Manchester City are apparently doing all they can to prevent James Milner leaving the club.
According to Jamie Jackson from the Guardian, City have offered Milner £130,000 a week plus incentives; a move they hope will persuade him to stay as other clubs are unlikely to meet that figure.
Milner is said to want to play as a centre midfielder, and despite playing more minutes this season than last, is still said to be unhappy at his inability to secure a regular starting position in the City side.
Roma are also said to be interested in the England international, however a move abroad seems unlikely.
It seems like Milner has a straight choice between Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City this summer.
Liverpool will hope that a promise of regular first team football will secure their man.
