Contentious Anfield plans finally approved at Liverpool Town Hall

Liverpool fans will be hoping for a win against Paris Saint-Germain tonight, but club officials are already celebrating a victory today.

A ruling by the Planning Committee at Liverpool Town Hall has granted Anfield the right to host music events, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The concerts to be held at Anfield will reportedly host around 50,000 revellers, despite concerns amongst the local community that the increased footfall would cause havoc for residents.

Sandwiched in the middle of terraced housing, Anfield is one of the last remaining “old school” football grounds in regards to its location.

Attempts to modernise Anfield may feel like pulling teeth at times, but FSG seem determined to push through their grand designs for the ground.
