‘Over €100m’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms attacker wants Liverpool after official talks

Another day, another Bradley Barcola to Liverpool update as the Reds’ pursuit of the French international is the worst-kept secret in football.

A lot (no seriously, A LOT) has been reported about Barcola over the past three weeks or so and we’re also trying our best to get to grips with everything, so excuse us if we miss something along the way.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his YouTube channel yesterday that Liverpool and PSG aren’t close to agreeing a deal for Barcola, indicating that it could take a lot of time.

And now, the Italian has confirmed that the two clubs have officially entered talks, with Barcola keen on a move to Anfield.

Liverpool and PSG in official talks for Barcola

Romano confirmed on his X account that the deal will be in excess of €100m, with the two clubs locked in talks to agree a fee and payment terms.

“Understand official club-to-club talks between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola have started,” wrote the Italian on X.

“LFC indicated an initial bid value over €100m, still far from PSG’s requests — but talks are on. Barcola wants Liverpool, as exclusively revealed since May.”

Once again, while this isn’t a massive update like an official offer being accepted, it is an important step in the right direction.
