Liverpool were also in talks to sign Yankuba Minteh but walked away from the deal after Brighton’s £80m asking price was deemed too high.

And now, it appears as if they have moved on to another Premier League winger: Ismaila Sarr.

“CPFC insist on plan to keep the winger after two bids rejected from Galatasaray and now one from Liverpool too.”

Sarr is a historic transfer target for the Reds and has tormented the club over the years with his goals, be it for Watford or Crystal Palace.

He scored 21 goals in all competitions last year and is capable of playing anywhere across the front line.

However, it looks like Palace will not sell at this stage of the summer as they won’t have enough time to sign suitable replacements.
