In terms of attackers, Bradley Barcola has been the talk of the town for Liverpool.
The French international has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield and various outlets have confirmed that the two clubs are locked in talks for the transfer.
However, earlier in the summer, Liverpool were credited with interest in Ferran Torres, who scored a priceless winner at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final for Spain vs Argentina.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that PSG are in direct talks to complete his signing.

Liverpool could do well with a versatile forward like Torres as he is capable of playing out wide and up front.
However, Romano believes Barcelona don’t want to let him go this summer unless he specifically requests a transfer.
Even if he were to move, it appears as if he is destined for PSG as Luis Enrique’s side are already having conversations with his agents.
“Paris Saint-Germain remain in direct talks with Ferran Torres’ camp over a move this summer,” wrote Romano on X.
“Barça do NOT want to sell Ferran; the only way is if Ferran asks to leave the club.
“PSG in for Godts and Ferran as Kang-in, Ramos and Mbaye leave plus Liverpool push for Barcola.”
A Liverpool attacker with F Torres at the back would have been some sight, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen…
