Griezmann wants Liverpool to win the league

Antoine Griezmann is one of the most lucrative forwards in world football following the recent transfer that saw him move to the Camp Nou.

The World Cup winner moved away from the Wanda Metropolitano to join the five-time Champions League winners and La Liga champions, FC Barcelona for a fee in the region of £107m.

Griezmann joins Frenkie de Jong at the Nou Camp, with Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar also being heavily tipped with a return to the Catalan giants.

However, during a recent interview with Sky Sports, the wonderous Frenchman confronted his thoughts and admitted his desire to play with Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette.

Furthermore, he also revealed his love for Liverpool, admitting that he hopes the Reds can end their long-awaited run for a league title.

As a player, I would like to play with Alexandre Lacazette. He is a friend of mine off the field and we have played together for the national team.

In terms of teams, I admire Liverpool because of the fans. Hopefully one day they will win the league again.

This is a huge compliment from Barcelona’s superstar. After narrowly losing the league to Manchester City last season, it was all redeemed on that special night in Madrid.
