Andoni Iraola is now well and truly used to his new surroundings after replacing Arne Slot at the helm at Liverpool.
The Spaniard had a full pre-season to get a closer look at his players and gave a lot of opportunities to the youngsters to impress.
While the senior players were away at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a few youngsters really took their chance to make an impact.
And now, the Liverpool boss has named Trey Nyoni and Lewis Koumas as two players who have really surprised him since taking charge of the club.

Speaking on TNT Sports, the Spaniard said: “In terms of young players, Trey Nyoni is an incredible player.
“Lewis Koumas – I think he’s going to be a big help for us because he can play basically everywhere in the attacking positions. I love his attitude.”
After Curtis Jones’ departure, Nyoni is expected to play a big role at Liverpool this season after making a handful of appearances under Slot last time around.
As for Koumas, he has had a few loan spells since bursting onto the scene and looks like he will be kept around as a versatile squad option.
