Klopp to give young Van Den Berg chance to impress

Recent Liverpool signing Sepp van den Berg will be given the chance during pre-season to impress, after being included in first-team training, as reported by Mail Online.

The 17-year old defender signing in a £1.5million deal from PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands, having made 23 senior appearances for the Eredivisie club already, despite his young age.

The Reds view Van Den Berg as someone who possesses the talent to break through into the first-team set up at Anfield, and Jurgen Klopp will allow him the opportunity during the club’s pre-season campaign to stake his claim.

Klopp will work with a preliminary group of 16 players at Melwood on Saturday as the club look to build upon their successful season last campaign, where the club won the Champions League.

With a number of first-team players still away on international duty, Van Den Berg will have the chance to impress, alongside fellow teen centre-back Ki-Jana However.
