Liverpool dealt fresh Bradley Barcola blow as price tag confirmed

Liverpool are scouring the market for attacking reinforcements after Mohamed Salah’s departure and Hugo Ekitike’s long-term injury.

Victor Munoz’s arrival eases the situation a little bit, but it goes without saying that they need more bodies in the final third.

Bradley Barcola has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool and showed his class for France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as he capped off a fine season for club and country.

And now, reports from France – via TEAMtalk – have confirmed that PSG have openly invited Manchester United to make a move for the talented winger.

PSG invite Manchester United bid for Bradley Barcola

Barcola has been a key player for PSG under Luis Enrique and played an instrumental role in the Parisians winning successive Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League doubles.

However, he has had to share game time with the likes of Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele as PSG boast an embarrassment of riches in attack.

Earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Liverpool are in the hunt for Barcola, with Arsenal also keeping tabs on his situation.

And now, according to the aforementioned report, the Parisians have invited Manchester United to make a play for the French international, who has quickly emerged as the most wanted man in the transfer market.

The report also mentions that PSG will start the bidding for Barcola at around £59.5m, which almost seems too good to believe.

It is also worth mentioning that the price tag mentioned above is what TEAMtalk have reported based on claims from French newspaper RMC Sport.

Later in the same article, they go on to clarify that according to their own sources, Barcola has a price tag of around £127.5m while also publicly insisting that he isn’t for sale.

A complicated one for Liverpool

Two different sources have mentioned as many price tags, so it is impossible to predict which one is true.

To make matters worse, Manchester United have now been thrown into the mix, while Arsenal could also step up their pursuit of the Frenchman after missing out on Morgan Rogers to Chelsea.

We can’t tell for sure, but we can’t see a scenario where PSG part with Barcola for £59.5m, so his price tag is set to be closer to what TEAMtalk have reported in case PSG decide to sell him.

And with the 2026 FIFA World Cup now out of the way, expect Liverpool and other interested clubs to make official approaches to sign the former Lyon man.

The contrasting reporting in recent days has thrown people off, but one thing is for sure: Barcola is a wanted man and this is a saga that more likely to be resolved over weeks rather than days.
