A number of Liverpool fans have been impressed with Roberto Firmino‘s finishing in training, urging him to take that form into the weekend clash with Manchester City.
The Brazilian is one of the Reds’ more under-fire figures at the moment, having endured a poor start to the season. Firmino has only scored one goal in all competitions in 2020/21 and just five in the whole of 2020, leading for calls for him to lose his place in the team.
The 29-year-old found himself on the substitutes’ bench against Atalanta in midweek and his replacement Diogo Jota then bagged a hat-trick in Liverpool’s 5-0 win. There are clear reasons for Klopp to keep the attack the same at the Etihad, such is the form of Jota.
New footage from training on Thursday, as highlighted by Empire of the Kop, suggests Firmino is in good nick ahead of the game, though. Liverpool’s No.9 is seen burying a finish into the net and looking sharp as he desperately aims to win back his place in the team.
These Reds supporters have been urging Firmino to replicate this form on the pitch on Sunday, should he get the nod from Klopp.

Still prefer Jota to start ahead of him on Sunday. It’s a win win situation for us. Cheers

Almost feels like the lad is doing what his manager asks him to that he doesn't do this more often in games right? the guy has a good record for brazil as a striker but ISNT ASKED TO DO THAT FOR US. Jurgen knows what he is about and i trust that.
