Another day, another update on Bradley Barcola as his transfer saga with Liverpool rambles on.
The Reds remain in talks with PSG, hoping to reduce his asking price. Liverpool also want to sign Ibrahim Mbaye, making this an interesting negotiation for everyone involved.
While there is still a lot of doubt in terms of the transfer, reports from France have suggested that it is a matter of when rather than if.
And now, Lewis Steele has appeared to double down on those claims.
Optimism around Liverpool signing Barcola
“I think that it will be this week,” said Lewis Steele via the Anfield Index podcast.
“Everything suggests that a second bid & that the clubs may meet in the middle. All parties desire is to make it happen.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a saga at this point. Everyone knows realistically what the outcome will be.”
The Reds need to make an official offer to PSG and take it from there as they don’t have too much time left. This is kind of similar to the Alexander Isak saga last summer when they left it late but ended up getting the player on deadline day.
One way or another, we need this to end soon for the sake of everyone’s well-being.
