Liverpool are expected to add to their squad under Andoni Iraola after Julian Ward’s arrival as sporting director.
Ward has taken over the reigns from Richard Hughes, whose up-and-down stint at Anfield came to an end earlier this summer.
The Reds have a few holes to fill in their squad and have always remained on the lookout for market opportunities.
And it appears as if one could be on the way in the form of Jules Kounde, if reports from Spain are to be believed.
Barcelona open to selling Liverpool target Jules Kounde
According to Sport, as relayed by Caught Offside, the La Liga giants are warming up to the idea of selling Kounde, who is wanted by Liverpool and Manchester United, among others.
The French international has served as a right back and a centre back for the Catalans, but Eric Garcia has seemingly pipped him in the pecking order.
Kounde is also wanted by at least three other Premier League clubs and it remains to be seen if Barcelona sanction his sale in 2027.
Liverpool’s interest has been confirmed, but the Reds already have Ronald Araujo on their books as a similar option, so this is a tricky one at this point in time.
