Liverpool have been linked with a move for Leeds United winger Raphinha in the last few weeks.

The Brazilian joined the West Yorkshire club at the start of last season and impressed during his debut campaign.

This has led to a number of big clubs interested in the 24-year-olds signature, including the Reds.

However, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth, Liverpool are yet to make contact with Leeds…

Despite confirming Liverpool’s likely interest in Raphinha, the club are yet to take action on it.

As Smyth states, the Reds have never made contact with the Whites over a possible deal for Raphinha.

It has previously been reported that the Reds were preparing to submit a £32million bid for the winger.

However, this appears to be false is Smyth’s comments are anything to go by.

Raphinha is a talented player who took the Premier League by storm last term, with 15 goals/assists.

One great thing about the Brazilian is his versatility, with him playing in five different positions last season.

Jurgen Klopp is a fan of players that can be flexible and operate in different areas of the pitch, hence the Reds’ interest.

It will be interesting to see how the story develops, but as Smyth states, no talks have started as of yet.
