The summer transfer window has been incredibly lacklustre for Liverpool in regards to new signings.
Despite a number of players departing the club, the only new addition has been in the form of Ibrahima Konaté.
The French centre-back is a fantastic addition but there are still a number of holes in the squad to address.
It now appears as though some more players could leave the club before the deadline day comes to an end.
According to recent reports, the club could still see defender Nathaniel Phillips leave with plenty of interest.
However, it now looks as though German goalkeeper Loris Karius could also see the exit door before the end of the day.
The Liverpool Echo are reporting that the club are hoping to move on Karius before the 11 pm deadline…
As cited by Anfield Watch above, the Reds are keen to help the wantaway shot-stopper find a new club.
Liverpool signed the German in 2016 from Bundesliga side FSV Mainz for just over £5million.
Since then, his most memorable moment came in the 2018 Champions League final after a series of blunders.
Sadly for Karius, his Liverpool career never quite took off and the last few seasons have been spent on loan.
Last season saw the German at Union Berlin, where he failed to make much of an impression.
However, it appears as though the Reds are keen to help Karius get his career back on track.
If he is to leave before the window closes tonight then that will free up another space in the club’s squad.
Despite this, it is still unlikely that we will see any new additions before the transfer deadline tonight.
