Liverpool midfielder Matty Virtue has completed a permanent transfer to Blackpool, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year old midfielder, who has captained Liverpool’s Under-23s side this season, will link up with the Tangerines ahead of their clash against Accrington Stanley on Saturday, having signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the club.
A popular figure among Liverpool’s young ranks, Virtue failed to make a senior appearance for the club’s first team during his time at Anfield, despite having trained with the first-team on a number of occasions.

Talking to his new club’s official website, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Virtue said:
I’m very happy to finally get it over the line and get it done.
It’s something I’ve known about for a month or so and I’m happy to be here and can’t wait to get started.
I’ve learnt loads at Liverpool and have loved my time there. Now it’s time to go and get my career started.
