It goes without saying that Liverpool could do well with another deeper midfielder, especially after Curtis Jones’ departure.

Trey Nyoni’s emergence this season has been a massive boost for them, but having another player in his area could be pivotal if they are to win titles under the Spaniard.

And now, if reports from Italy are to be believed, Liverpool are ready to make a move for Lamine Camara in January.

Liverpool want Lamine Camara in January

The Reds’ interest in Camara is well documented after the summer transfer window.

The Monaco midfielder was close to joining Chelsea, but the transfer broke down on deadline day, after which Liverpool called his agents to inform them that they could make a move for him in 2027.

And now, with Chelsea prioritising a move for Alex Scott, Tuttomercatoweb report that Liverpool are ready to sign Camara in January and have already indicated this to Monaco.

The young midfielder is expected to cost around €50m, which isn’t an outrageous fee when you take into account what a few players have commanded in recent years.

Liverpool’s interest is real, but we’ll have to wait and see whether they make a move for him in January.
