Liverpool reluctant to sign Real Madrid attacker due to major stumbling block

Liverpool are set to be one of the most active Premier League clubs in the transfer market between now and the end of the window.

The Reds have already signed Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet, while the loan signing of Ronald Araujo from Barcelona is set to be confirmed later today.

Liverpool also remain in talks to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG, although neither deal is believed to be close.

Earlier this summer, we relayed claims on Read Liverpool that Real Madrid attacker Endrick has keen admirers at Anfield.

And now, Ben Jacobs has revealed why Andoni Iraola’s side have reservations about the potential signing.

Liverpool want permanent deal for Endrick

Endrick wants to leave Real Madrid in search of regular game time and has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs.

Liverpool are interested in signing the Brazilian, but the 20-year-old only wants to secure a temporary switch. Real Madrid’s stance is also the same as they do not want to sanction the sale of a player they have high hopes for.

Jacobs said on talkSPORT: “Liverpool have taken a look at Endrick, but they want something with permanence and at the moment both the player and Real Madrid only want a loan.”

It’s hard to fault the train of thought as Liverpool always plan for the long-term, so we’re not sure how the club would stand to benefit if Endrick spends just a solitary season at Anfield before returning to Real Madrid.
