Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry about a deal to sign Southampton defender Matt Targett.
According to an exclusive report from 90min, the Reds have identified the Southampton defender as a potential understudy to Andy Robertson and he could become the latest Saints player to make the move to Anfield.
The left-back spot is one area that the Reds will look to strengthen this summer as they go in search of a back-up to Andy Robertson.

The latter was a formidable part of Liverpool’s success the 2018/19 season but struggled with injuries towards the end of the campaign.
Targett has been linked with a summer move to join Aston Villa, where regular first-team football would be far more likely.
It also remains to be seen how willing Southampton would be to lose yet another player to the Anfield outfit.
A move to Anfield could be tempting, with first-team football also unlikely at Southampton next season.
