Liverpool send best wishes to Iker Casillas

Liverpool Football Club have posted a message on Twitter to send the best wishes of everyone connected with the club to FC Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who was taken to hospital earlier today.

As per the BBC, the Spaniard suffering a suspected heart attack at Porto’s training ground and as such, he was rushed to the hospital.

A Porto statement read:

Casillas suffered an acute myocardial infarction during Wednesday morning training session held at the PortoGaia training centre in Olival. The work session was promptly interrupted to provide assistance to the Porto goalkeeper, who is currently at the Hospital CUF Porto. Casillas is well, stable and his heart problem [is] solved.

Liverpool, who faced Casillas in the Champions League both this season and last season, sent this message to the former World Cup-winning captain.

Casillas was given a very warm welcome at Anfield on the previous two occasions he played there and Liverpool fans will echo their club’s message in sending best wishes to the Spaniard.
