Liverpool are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign Real Betis defender Junior Firpo.
The left-back recently featured for Spain’s Under-21 team at the European Championships, where they lifted the trophy after defeating Germany Under-21s in the final.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were recently linked with a move for Junior, with the club understood to be on the lookout for a replacement for Alberto Moreno, whose contract at Anfield expired this summer.

The 22-year-old spent last season marauding down the left-hand side of the pitch for Betis, and Mucho Deporte reports Liverpool have displayed the strongest interest in securing a deal for him.
Andy Robertson is likely to be the club’s starting defender in this position next season, but beyond the Scotsman, there is little depth, indicating that a move for Junior may be on the cards.
Betis are reportedly demanding at least €30 million along with Divock Origi as a sweetener in the deal, or the full extent of the youngster’s €50 million release clause.
