Liverpool have completed the signing of French defender Billy Koumetio, according to ESPN.
The 16-year old defender joins from US Orleans for a nominal fee, having spent time with the Reds on trial last year, having also travelled with the Under-17s to Berlin for friendlies in November.
Having started his career in Lyon’s academy, Koumetio made the move to second-division side Orleans and will now join Liverpool’s Under-16s side.
Koumetio joins Liverpool’s already well-stocked pool of young talent, with the club having signed 17-year old centre-back Ki-Jana Hoever from Ajax in the summer.
