Liverpool submit record-breaking offer for attacking midfielder

Liverpool are expected to add to their squad in the upcoming transfer windows under Andoni Iraola.

Julian Ward has replaced Richard Hughes as sporting director and will already be drawing up a list of candidates for the January transfer window.

Over the years, the Reds have kept an eye on market opportunities and young players across the continent, signing a handful of them in 2026 as well.

And now, reports from Mexico claim they have made a massive offer for Gilberto Mora.

Liverpool make huge Gilberto Mora bid

David Faitelson reveals the Reds have already made an offer for Mora and if the bid is accepted, he is set to become the most expensive Mexican player in history.

“I’ve been told in Tijuana that they received, through Gilberto Mora’s representative, Rafaela Pimenta, an offer from an English club, in this case Liverpool,” Faitelson said via Sport Witness.

“It would be a historic figure, above $50m, for Xolos de Tijuana for Gilberto Mora, who turns 18 next week.”

Mora looked like an unbelievable talent during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Liverpool’s interest has been well documented since, so we wouldn’t be surprised if these reports actually turned out to be true.
