Liverpool target Pepe prefers England move

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe would reportedly prefer to move to England this summer, leaving Liverpool on red alert.

The highly-rated 24-year-old has been heavily linked with the Reds, Premier League rivals Manchester United and German giants Bayern Munich following a phenomenal 2018-19 campaign.

Pepe scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists for Lille in Ligue 1 last season, helping the club secure Champions League football by finishing second behind Paris Saint-Germain.

According to African football expert Sega Diallo, the Premier League is the Ivory Coast international’s preference and Bayern will have to work hard to change his mind.

Liverpool have been actively looking for a forward this summer following the release of Daniel Sturridge, and Pepe is the name on every fans’ lips after his eye-catching exploits in France last term.

Other attacking players the Reds have been linked with include Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Lyon forward Memphis Depay, but there is yet to be anything concrete.
