Liverpool are expected to add a few players to their squad before the transfer window slams shut on September 1st.
In terms of their attack, at least one signing is expected as they remain locked in talks to sign Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola.
Curtis Jones is wanted by Inter Milan and could well leave, which could lead to a midfield signing.
And now, if reports from Spain are to be believed, one of their defensive transfer targets prefers a move to the Premier League amid interest from Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool target Hector Font wants Premier League move
Sport claimed earlier this week that Liverpool are one of the clubs following Barcelona midfielder Hector Font, who could be on the move this summer.
And now, Borussia Dortmund appear to have stolen the march on him in recent weeks.
Mateo Morretto reports that while Dortmund are the most active club for Font, he would prefer a move to the Premier League.
Liverpool’s interest is well known, but there have been no reports about reinforcing their right-back spot after Ronald Araujo’s arrival.
Between the Uruguayan, Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong, the Reds have a few options in that position, while Dominik Szoboszlai can also play there.
Font is a talented player, but this isn’t a deal we can see Liverpool doing before the transfer deadline.
