Mane to train despite illness ahead of PSG clash

Sadio Mane will train with the Liverpool team ahead of Wednesday’s all-important Champions League fixture with Paris Saint-Germain.

The winger had been struggling with an illness in recent days, following the Reds’ 3-0 win against Watford in the league.

However, Paul Joyce of The Times claims that the number ten will train with the squad and travel to Paris for the match.

The game carries great importance for Liverpool, as three points will see Jürgen Klopp’s side progress to the knockout stages of the competition they so nearly won last year.

If they fail to get a result in the Parc des Princes, then the likelihood is they’ll need to beat Napoli by two clear goals on matchday six

It looked like the Reds might have had to travel to Paris without one of their star players but Mane can now be called upon in at some capacity, either from the start or from the bench,
