Marseille make offer for Divock Origi

French club Marseille have reportedly made an offer for Liverpool striker Divock Origi, according to L’Équipe, as reported by Get French Football.

It is not yet clear whether Marseille’s offer is for a permanent transfer or if they are hoping to seal a loan deal for him, but Klopp has recently hinted that the latter is definitely a possibility.

It has also been reported that Origi is attracting interest from various Premier League suitors, though the former Lille man is looking for regular game time which he probably wouldn’t get at a top English club.

The arrival of Mohamed Salah and has seen the Belgian striker fall further down the pecking order in Liverpool’s attack, while even Dominic Solanke now appears to be preferred by Jurgen Klopp.

Origi made 20 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last year, scoring seven goals with three assists.

The Belgian striker joined Liverpool from Lille in 2014 for just over £11 million. He re-joined the French club on loan for the following season but was named in Ligue 1’s ‘Worst Team of the Season’ at the end of the year.
