Whilst commentating on the World Cup final for SBS Australia, respected broadcaster and reporter Martin Tyler said that he believes that Liverpool will sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer, although the terms of the deal will be slightly different than first thought.
Fekir was very close to joining Liverpool before the World Cup but despite the player completing an interview for the club’s media outlet, the deal did not go through.

Speculation at the time suggested that the Reds were unhappy with something in Fekir’s medical, whilst others reported that the decision not to complete the deal was due to Lyon wanting a larger fee.
Either way, Tyler said this during his broadcast:
Liverpool will get Nabil Fekir from Lyon, they will pay the price in instalments over the course of his contract with the club.
Of course, it may well be that the long-time commentator is speculating, but it must be noted that he has plenty of contacts in the game after working in the industry for a number of years.
