This weekend provided one of the biggest moments in Liverpool’s season so far.
The Reds are in the fight for the top four to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
Sunday saw Liverpool cruise out 2-1 winners over West Brom with a match winning goal from goalkeeper Alisson.
The Brazilian scored the match winning goal in the 95th minute with an incredible header.
Alisson received plenty of praise after his record-breaking goal, including that of Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer.
The German said Alisson deserved the incredible moment, describing him as a ‘very nice guy’…
As cited by Goal on Twitter above, Neuer was quick to praise the Brazilian for the incredible goal.
For a player such as Neuer to praise Alisson as such is a massive compliment.
The Liverpool No.1 became the first player in the clubs history to score a goal.
Not only that, but he also became the first goalkeeper to score a header in the Premier League too.
Alisson has had a tough season along with the rest of the squad on the pitch, but also off of it.
The death of his father a few months back meant the goal became so much more for the Brazilian.
In his post-match press conference, Alisson dedicated the goal to his father, stating he will be watching somewhere.
