‘No doubt’ – Alexander Isak reveals what Liverpool are trying to change under Andoni Iraola

Alexander Isak scored his first goal of the season as Liverpool played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

The Swedish striker drew a blank last week against Newcastle United and also had to deal with a sputtering of boos and loud whistling from the Magpies due to his unceremonious departure to Anfield last summer.

Against Forest, however, Isak got his name on the scoresheet, although it wasn’t his best performance.

And speaking after the game, he called for patience as Liverpool continue to get to grips with Andoni Iraola’s philosophy.

Alexander Isak tips Liverpool for success under Andoni Iraola

“It’s been good, there is always time to get used to a new style,” said the Swede to TNT Sport via the BBC.

“We are really working hard to try to play the game he wants us to play, when we start doing that better, I have no doubt the results will come as well.”

Liverpool have played out successive 2-2 draws in the Premier League to start the new season, which obviously isn’t ideal in terms of points.

However, in both those games, they have come from behind twice and have also shown a lot of courage in attack, signaling that they are very much a work in progress under the Spaniard.
