Former Liverpool player Lee Peltier believes Trent Alexander-Arnold has all the makings of a right-back who can go on to be regarded as world-class.
The youngster cemented his place in Liverpool’s starting line-up last season under Jurgen Klopp and has been a mainstay ever since, starting the new campaign in a similar vein of form.
As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, former defender Peltier highlighted just how promising a player Alexander-Arnold is, labelling him as ‘unbelievable’ in the process.
He’s been absolutely fantastic, to be honest with you. When I first saw him come in I thought to myself: ‘Yes, he looks a nice little player.’ But what he has done has been absolutely unbelievable.
People don’t realise, he is only 19 and the games he has played in and the pressure he has been under, and he has performed in every game. That is something special and unique that you don’t really get in many kids. I think he’s a really good player who is only going to get better with more experience and more games.

Alexander-Arnold’s impressive form throughout the course of last season earned him deserved international recognition. He made one appearance at the World Cup for England during the summer at the age of just 19.
Despite his tender age, though, he has established himself as a pivotal part of Klopp’s plans at Anfield, lining up in every fixture of the new season so far.
Alexander-Arnold will hope to continue his development as the campaign progresses and, someday, achieve Peltier’s prediction of becoming one of the elite right-backs in world football.
Obviously, whoever has put him right-back has made the right choice because he is going to be a fantastic right-back. He could be one of the best in the world, never mind in England if he keeps progressing and doing what he is doing.
