Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho is reportedly unhappy with Jurgen Klopp regarding how his summer transfer saga played out.
It is being reported by Joaquim Piera of Sport that the Brazilian is upset with Klopp after the German manager refused to help him secure his dream move to Barcelona.
Coutinho, according to Piera’s report, asked his manager to help him get a move to the La Lig giants but Klopp refused and apparently threatened to walk away from Liverpool if the owners sold his star player.
The Brazilian then decided to rebel and refused to train or play, with Liverpool saying in public that he had a back injury.

Piera goes on to say that hhen the transfer window closed, Coutinho was deeply unhappy and planned not to play in the Champions League as a form of protest, and presumably to prevent himself from being cup tied, although he was talked out of that by his family and agents.
The report goes on to say that Coutinho was not thrilled with the approach Klopp used to bring him back into the side and that he believes the German was “making him pay” by putting him on the substitutes bench.
Apparently, Coutinho is now only motivated by his desire to stay in form for when he leaves Liverpool and also to be in shape for the World Cup this summer, although he’d prefer to leave in January.
How much truth is in this report remains to be seen as we all know that Barcelona have used the press to their advantage in the past, but if it is true, it would suggest that the relationship between Klopp and Coutinho isn’t as happy as we were being led to believe.
