Pundit labels Liverpool star Luis Diaz as ‘exceptional’ following impact

Former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson has labelled new Liverpool signing Luis Diaz as ‘exceptional’ following an instant impact in England.

The 25-year-old winger has been in scintillating form since arriving from FC Poort in January and looks ready to play a huge part at the business end of the campaign.

Despite only scoring once in nine outings for the Reds, Diaz has already wowed fans with his astonishing directness and skillset.

Speaking to Football Insider, Robinson was full of praise for the Colombian winger.

The goals will come for Luis Diaz, I have no doubt about that. He has hit the ground running and he has certainly not needed a settling in period. He’s taken his first opportunity from Klopp. I’m 100 per cent sure that goals will come because his performances are exceptional. He’s getting in the right areas and if that continues the goals will follow. I’ve been so impressed with him since he’s come to this country. He will soon start sharing the goalscoring burden with Salah, Mane and Jota.

Diaz has earned an impressive 7.33 average Sofascore rating from four Premier League outings.

Prior to the arrival, the 31-cap ace had scored 16 times and registered six assists in 37 appearances.

Realistically, nobody could’ve anticipated the instant success of Diaz at Anfield.

Despite clearly being a player with an abundance of quality, so often new Liverpool signings need time to adapt before being unleashed.

However, there was no time for that for the £36millon valued ace who essentially stepped off the place and onto the pitch without looking back once.

Whether or not the flying Colombian can indeed get close to scoring exploits of the likes of Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota or even Mohamed Salah remains to be seen, but, it seems certain Diaz will have a positive impact on Klopp’s hunt for more trophies.
