Liverpool are lining up a contract offer for Everton youngster Luke Garbutt, according to a report by talkSPORT.
Garbutt’s contract at the Blues expires this summer and he has not yet agreed to an extension.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be an admirer of the 21-year-old left back, and could see him as a useful addition if Jose Enrique and Glen Johnson depart as is expected.
Added to that, Jon Flanagan has had a set back in his return from injury, so Liverpool’s full back depth is very thin.
A big indication that Garbutt will leave Everton came at the weekend when Roberto Martinez selected Brendan Galloway to play ahead of him.
Many believe that if Garbutt was staying , he’d have been the man given the chance to gain some experience and not Galloway.
Eddie Howe’s newly promoted Bournemouth are said to be tracking the England U21 international too, so Garbutt will have options this summer.
