Report – Liverpool have Kovacic bid accepted

Liverpool have reportedly had a bid for Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic accepted by Inter Milan.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport are suggesting that the Reds have have agreed a €22.6million deal with Inter, with a further €3million in add-ons attached.

The reports for this deal are all coming from Italy at the moment; none of the British based journalists are writing about it at present.

One oddity is that Tuttosport ran some quotes from the player where he denied any deal had taken place.

He said: “For now I’m still happy in Italy, but we’ll see about the future. Now I’m thinking about my holidays. I only know that I’m due back at Appiano Gentile on July 5th. That’s why I haven’t heard anyone from the club yet.”
