Results: Liverpool’s greatest ever goalkeeper

Liverpool look to return to the top of the Premier League table when they host third-placed Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield later on today.

The likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son are bound to provide a threat as usual and Alisson will have to be on his game in order to secure an 18th league clean sheet in 32 games during his debut season in England.

With seven games to go for the Reds, including this weekend’s mouth-watering fixtures, Jurgen Klopp’s side would have to keep a clean sheet in all of them to beat Petr Cech’s record of 24 in a single season, set in 2004-05.

That’s a big ask, but you can’t deny the brilliant season Alisson has had in between the sticks after his big-money move from Roma in the summer.

Yesterday we asked you who Liverpool’s greatest ever goalkeeper was, and there weren’t really any surprises with the results.
