Ryan Kent’s Liverpool departure delayed ahead of potential first-team chance

Ryan Kent’s potential move away from Anfield has reportedly been delayed as a result of a potential first-team opportunity.

A report from Herald Scotland claims that Liverpool will allow their key attacking players to enjoy extra time on holiday this summer.

As a result of their participation in the African Cup of Nations and the Copa America respectively, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane could all be given extra time off to recover.

With pre-season games just around the corner, this could see the Reds left short in attacking areas.

It is now being suggested that Kent may be a player that they look to keep around a little bit longer to cover for the missing trio.

While it does not suggest that this would be a long-term fix, it would certainly provide the player with one last chance to impress manager Jurgen Klopp before a decision on his future is made.
