Sadio Mane will be out to prove a point against Newcastle

After his dispute with Mohamed Salah against Burnley, Sadio Mane will be hoping that he can hit the ground running against Newcastle after the international break.

After he was substituted at Turf Moor, the Senegal star was seen venting his frustration in the Liverpool dugout after Salah snubbed an opportunity to pass to him inside the box.

Fortunately for Liverpool, Salah’s decision not to pass did not affect the final result, as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners against Sean Dyche’s side.

Mane has scored two league goals already this season and will now be looking to increase his tally against a struggling Newcastle side.

He has enjoyed a fine start to the new season and if he can find the back of the net against the Magpies, it’ll be five goals in as many games across all competitions for Mane.

The 27-year-old, who is undoubtedly near the top of the liverpool player salaries, will be looking to prove his worth to his team-mate, despite the incident being played down by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Newcastle will need to be at their best to stop Mane and co. on Saturday and Steve Bruce’s side can take hope from their shock win against Tottenham earlier in the season.

Only Manchester City and Leicester join Liverpool in avoiding defeat in the first four games of the campaign and they’ll be hoping to extend that run with a big performance on Saturday.
