Second Portuguese source claims Liverpool have made a bid for Bruno Fernandes

A second Portuguese source, newspaper Journal de Notices (as cited by the Express) claim that Liverpool have tried to jump ahead of Manchester United in the race for Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes.

The 24-year-old has long been a rumoured target for United but earlier this month, a report from Correio da Manha claimed that Liverpool had made an offer for the Portuguese star.

There has not been any word on the legitimacy of this offer since but now a second Portuguese outlet are claiming that a bid has been made.

Tottenham have also been linked with the Sporting star but they’ve been focusing on a deal to sign Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele, so it remains to be seen if they want to sign Fernandes too.

Liverpool have been quick to refute claims of interest in the likes of Nicolas Pepe in recent days, but their stance on Fernandes remains unknown.
