Liverpool have been linked with a fresh move in Spain, with Sergio Arribas emerging as the latest attacking name around Anfield.
This Is Anfield, citing Spanish outlet IDEAL, reports that Liverpool have set their sights on the Almeria attacking midfielder after a prolific LaLiga2 campaign.
Arribas scored 25 goals and added seven assists across 42 appearances last season, numbers that explain why the 24-year-old has become one of the division’s most-watched players.
Arribas Profile Tests Liverpool’s Priority List
The key question is not talent. Arribas clearly carries final-third output, and Transfermarkt lists him as an attacking midfielder who can also operate from either wing.
That versatility naturally fits the kind of flexible forward recruitment Liverpool have explored throughout the summer.
The issue is hierarchy. Liverpool have already added Victor Munoz and still appear to need a specialist right-sided attacker, while Munoz’s Iraola admission showed how quickly the club wants new signings to understand Andoni Iraola’s demands.
- Player: Sergio Arribas
- Club: Almeria
- 2025/26 output: 25 goals, seven assists
- Profile: attacking midfield/right-wing option
For Liverpool, this is a market-test link rather than a guaranteed pursuit. Arribas offers production and value upside, but Iraola’s squad still needs clarity on which attacking role gets funded first.
