Liverpool’s summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri has quickly become a fan favourite, and his latest revelation will only increase his reputation in the eyes of the Liverpool faithful.
The former Stoke City man has made an impressive start to life as a Liverpool player and has settled in well into Jurgen Klopp’s system.

The Swiss international attacker has given the Reds a different dimension in attack and he is gearing up for his first Merseyside derby.
Liverpool won the race for Shaqiri’s signature but before he decided to move to Anfield, various clubs were interested in signing him.
As reported on the Mirror, Shaqiri admitted that someone told him to join Everton. He said:
It’s my first derby so it’s going to be very special. I want to see and to feel the atmospheres in these derbies. I’m looking forward to it.
I know just one Evertonian. He said to me when I was at Stoke, ‘You have to come to Everton.’ I said, ‘No!’
The comments will be pleasing to hear for Liverpool fans, who will be hoping that Shaqiri can play a big part in the upcoming derby.
