Virals: Two EPL clubs ‘intend to make moves’ to sign Liverpool ace James Milner

Liverpool midfielder James Milner is reportedly on the radar of two Premier League clubs.

Crystal Palace and relegation-threatened Watford are believed to be interested in the 36-year-old’s services as the experienced ace sees a reduction in playing time on Merseyside.

Despite the decline in minutes, Jurgen Klopp recently confirmed that he expects Milner to play on beyond this season.

Now a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes has claimed that the two English sides have ‘consulted’ the situation

This season Milner – previously described as a ‘massively important’ figure at Anfield by Klopp – has provided three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

Now valued at £1.8million and under contract until the end of the season (Transfermarkt), there certainly needs to be a resolution in the coming weeks.

Liverpool may want Milner to stay on in a playing capacity, albeit as a bit part operator, perhaps with coaching and leadership duties in mind.

However, the consummate professional that is Milner may want to enjoy an Indian summer elsewhere and play more regular football having only competed 90 minutes on three occasions this term.

Whatever the solution the Leeds-born ace has been a superb servant to the Reds and will leave with a legacy firmly intact.
