As the transfer window enters the final days, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos.
The Reds have been relatively quiet in the market thus far, concentrating instead on contract renewals and departures from within the current squad.
That hasn’t stopped the speculation, however, and recently a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes claimed that the Anfield club could make a move for the 27-year-old Argentine forward.

Eagle-eyed fans might’ve spotted a huge hint on social media as wife of the star, Majooh Barbeito, added “You’ll never walk alone” to her Instagram bio.
Last season Ocampos scored five and added four assists in 34 La Liga appearances.
Once touted as a possible arrival on Merseyside with Takumi Minamino heading in the opposite direction as a makeweight, the eight-times capped international remains in Seville despite not featuring so far this term.

This could all simply be little more than a coincidence, especially given the weak nature of the links.
Perhaps merely a fan of the Gerry and the Pacemakers classic, Ocampos’ partner could have unwittingly caused a mini-furore with total innocence.
But, just in case.
Valued at £36million and under contract in Spain until 2024 (Transfermarkt), the versatile Argentine would certainly bolster the attacking options at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
Capable of playing across the frontline, in many ways Ocampos would represent the ideal candidate to relieve the burden imparted on the current attacking quartet.
