Yaya Toure’s agent has claimed his client would play for Liverpool for just “£1 a week”, report the Mirror.
The Mirror report that the Ivorian – now a free agent – is not yet finished in English football, and believes he still has a lot to bring to a Premier League club.
Toure found it difficult to force his way into Guardiola’s team, appearing just fifteen times in the 2017/18 season.
Trying to find his boss a new team, agent Dimitri Seluk has made a series of astonishing claims – including that his man would be keen to turn out for Liverpool.

Citing sky-high transfer fees, Seluk made it clear that the opportunity to sign a player of Toure’s pedigree for free was a rarity:
At a time when huge sums are being spent in England for the purchase of football players, I officially declare that Yaya is ready to move as a free agent to any English club in the top six with a salary of £1 a week – but for certain successes to make a bonus system.
I believe that a player like Yaya would not harm Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool. Yaya – the winner. And never before has a top footballer with leadership qualities harmed any club, especially when it is not necessary to pay for it.
Despite recently securing the signing of Fabinho, Jürgen Klopp may opt to add another bruising midfielder to his squad for next season, although it’s unlikey that he’d be tempted to sign Toure.
