Mundo Deportivo, as cited on Sport Witness claim that a permanent transfer could happen, but only if Mohamed Salah leaves the club.

Despite reported interest from Real Madrid, the latter is unlikely to be leaving Anfield anytime soon.

Dembele has found his place in the Barcelona side under threat after a season plagued by injury problems.

The Catalan side are also expected to move for Antoine Griezmann this summer, putting further doubts over the amount of regular game time he will be able to get at the Nou Camp.

Jurgen Klopp has long been an admirer of the French winger and talks between Liverpool and the player’s agent are said to be in the works.
