Adam Bogdan will leave Liverpool in the summer

Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan says he will leave Liverpool this summer when his contract expires.

The 31-year-old was signed for free by the Reds back in 2015 by then manager Brendan Rodgers, who wanted to bring in an experienced backup goalkeeper.

Unfortunately for the Hungarian international, things did not work out well for him when he was given the chance to play in the first team.

His performance against Watford at Vicarage Road in 2015 ranks amongst the worst displays by a Liverpool goalkeeper in the modern era and he also conceded a goal directly from a corner kick against Exeter City in January 2016.

Having seen enough of Bogdan, Jurgen Klopp pretty much bombed him out and he’s not been seen for the Reds since.

He’s spent time on loan at Wigan, and he’s currently at Hibs, where he hopes to stay on a permanent deal.

Speaking to the Scotsman about his future, Bogdan said:

I am still a Liverpool player but it is running out. I am considering myself more a Hibs player. In my head, unless some crazy thing happens, the contract will run out.
