Reported Liverpool target Christian Pulisic says that he will discuss future with Borussia Dortmund when the transfer window opens.
The American international has been a long-time target for Jurgen Klopp, who tried to sign him for a small fee a couple of seasons ago.
Since then, the 20-year-old has developed into one of the most sought-after forward players in Europe and as such, he’s being linked with a move to the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Pulisic is out of contract with Dortmund in the summer of 2020 so unless he puts pen to paper on a new deal soon, he will be sold so that the Bundesliga side don’t lose him for free.
BVB insist that the forward will not be sold in January, but he told NBC Sports that he will hold discussions about his future plans in January.
He said:
I’m still focused on Dortmund. We are doing great this season, Once the break comes [in January], that is always when I will have to discuss with Dortmund and see about my future.
Chelsea are the favourites to sign the American star, but Liverpool will hope to persuade him to ignore the Blues and sign for the Reds.
