Joe Gomez trains ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Paris

Joe Gomez missed Liverpool’s 3-0 win against Watford after he took a knock to his ankle in training on Friday.

Gomez was pencilled in to start at right-back in the game, but his injury saw Trent Alexander-Arnold come into the side and he made a huge impact as his free-kick put the Reds 2-0 up at Vicarage Road.

Dejan Lovren also played well on Saturday but it looks like either the Croatian or Alexander-Arnold will miss out on starting the PSG game as Gomez has resumed training and as such, is likely to take part in the match.

The 21-year-old has been one of Liverpool’s stand out players so far this season and has excelled both at centre-back and at right-back.

Having recovered from the slight ankle issue he picked up on Friday, Gomez will be keen to get his place back and it will be interesting to see who is left out if he does come back into the side.
