Does footage from Man City game suggest Salah and Mane have clashed again?

Footage from Liverpool’s 1-1 draw away to Manchester City suggests Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane may have had another on-pitch disagreement.

The Reds came away with a share of the spoils at the Etihad on Sunday, leaving them one point adrift of Premier League leaders Leicester City.

It was Salah who opened the scoring from the penalty spot – Mane was brought down by Kyle Walker – prior to Gabriel Jesus equalising for City.

Salah and Mane famously clashed at Burnley last season, when the former failed to pass to the latter, but the incident was played down afterwards.

Now, footage from Sunday’s game has been shared by @Footballgoal20 on Twitter, seemingly showing the pair exchanging words after Salah scored his penalty.

The Egyptian appears to shush his teammate, before what looks like a slightly heated confrontation between the Liverpool duo.

In truth, there is probably very little to the clip, with no proof regarding what was being said.

There did appear to be an element of anger in Salah’s demenour, but that could easily be relating to an earlier incident that he is relaying to Mane.

Salah and Mane do appear to be close friends off the pitch, but even if they aren’t, their magic on it is what is most important.

A healthy rivalry can’t do harm, as both continue to cement their reputations as Liverpool legends.
