Liverpool fans are boosted at Oxlade-Chamberlain steps up injury recovery

A number of Liverpool supporters have been buoyed by the sight of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doing gym work, as he steps up his recovery from injury.

The 27-year-old has been absent since August, having suffered a knee problem during pre-season.

It is the latest injury blow for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who famously missed a huge chunk of his career after suffering cruciate ligament damage back in 2018.

Liverpool are suffering from an injury crisis at the moment, with several key men out, whether it be Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez or Thiago, so Jurgen Klopp desperately needs others back.

As the Reds trained at their new AXA Training Centre on Tuesday, Oxlade-Chamberlain was pictured working hard in the gym.

He also presented a brilliant guided tour of Liverpool’s new home, acting in predictably positive spirits and showing supporters what their heroes will arrive to every day.

It seems as though Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return to the fold is edging closer all the time and he will hopefully be able to play a starring role during the festive period.

These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to send their best wishes to the attacking midfielder, urging him to come back as soon as possible.
